12 and 20-yard roll-offs delivered on boards to Mahwah driveways, from a family company based in Westwood. 14 days and the weight included, every fee stated before you book.
7am to 9pm, seven days. Describe the job and we'll tell you the size in two minutes.
Mahwah allows a container in the street with a permit ($100 special permit if the dumpster is placed on a public roadway), issued by the Township Construction Official. Mahwah requires the permit even on your own driveway, so plan on filing it either way; we tell you exactly what to bring when you book. See every town's rule.
Time limit on the street or property: 30 days per permit, extensions at the Building Inspector's discretion for $25 per 30 days; dumpsters in the public right-of-way may not remain more than 30 days without written extension and must be removed immediately when the project is complete. Our standard 14-day rental fits inside most jobs; if yours runs longer, say so when you book.
Bulk pickup versus a dumpster. What Mahwah collects at the curb: Bulk items go out on the second weekly garbage day, limit 3 items per pickup. Construction debris will not be picked up. Appliances containing refrigerant are collected the fourth Thursday of the month by prior arrangement with DPW, 201-529-3344. That works for a couch. A whole garage, a roof or a renovation is a container job.
Bergen County's largest municipality by land area (25.39 sq mi) at a low density of about 1,000 residents per sq mi.
Checked against Mahwah sources on 2026-09-10: ecode360.com, www.mahwahtwp.org, en.wikipedia.org. Rules change; we confirm before every delivery.
Most homes need the 12. Most renovations and roofs need the 20. Both from our own fleet.

Yes. Mahwah is one of the towns that requires a permit even for a container on your own driveway ($100 special permit if the dumpster is placed on a public roadway), issued by the Township Construction Official. Street placement needs the same permit plus police or road-department approval. We deal with this every week; tell us the address and we'll tell you what to file and where.
Often the same day or the next morning, depending on where the trucks are. We're based in Westwood, Bergen County, and our drivers are in Mahwah regularly. Call (201) 913-9400 and we'll give you a real time.
We put wood boards under the rails on every delivery, at no charge, and set the container down gently rather than dragging it. Asphalt, pavers, concrete and gravel drives in Mahwah all get the same treatment. When we pick up, we sweep the spot.
For an attic, garage or single-room job the 12-yard (12 x 8 x 4 ft, 2,000 lb included) is usually right and fits a one-car driveway. Whole-house cleanouts, roofs and renovations take the 20-yard (16 x 8 x 6 ft, 4,000 lb included). Both come with 14 days. Describe the job on the phone and we'll tell you which.
Same trucks, same terms, across Bergen County. See the Bergen County page.
