What goes in, and what doesn't.

A dumpster takes everything a cleanout, a renovation or a roof produces: wood, drywall, carpet, tile, furniture, glass, metal, yard debris, insulation, pipes and wiring, furniture and household junk. Mixed loads are normal; you do not need to sort.

The transfer station refuses a short list: paint or liquid chemicals, tires, medical waste, asbestos, hazardous or flammable materials, gas, oil, diesel or other fuels, dirt, concrete or masonry fill. Those come back out before pickup, so it is worth knowing the list before you load. Where each one goes instead.

"Couldn't be happier with the service I received from DeLalla Carting. Paul clearly explained the options and the dumpster I selected arrived early the next day. When it was full (after about a week), I called and it was promptly removed from my driveway within a few hours. The driver was courteous and careful about protecting the driveway area and left ample space to access the dumpster. A bonus: the exterior of the dumpster itself was remarkably clean and looked pretty new, with good paint/company decals -- not an eyesore for the neighbors. I also used the online portal and it was very easy to use. Highly recommend!"

Dumpster questions.

How long can I keep the dumpster?

14 days are included, starting the day it is delivered. If the job runs longer, tell us when you book or call before the end of the period and we will work it out.

What size do I need?

An attic, garage or single-room job is usually the 12-yard. Whole-house cleanouts, roofs and renovations are the 20. Heavy material like tile, plaster or shingles pushes you toward the 20 even for a small pile. Our size guide has the numbers, or describe the job on the phone.

Do you protect my driveway?

Yes. Wood boards go under the rails on every delivery at no charge, the container is set down rather than dragged, and we sweep the spot at pickup.

Do I need to be home for delivery?

No. Tell us where you want it when you book and keep the spot clear. Same for pickup: call when it is full and we take it from there.

What can't go in?

Paint and liquids, fuels, tires, asbestos, medical waste, and dirt, concrete or masonry fill. Everything a cleanout or renovation produces otherwise is fine. Our prohibited-items guide has the full list and where those things go instead.

Do I need a permit?

Not on your own driveway in most towns. In the street it depends on the town, and a few towns want a form even on private property. Our permits guide lists every town we serve; we confirm with the town before delivery.
